The Interceptor 400 kit is a different class to other kits you may see on the market. Flight tested to death, beautiful stable hover and unrivalled precision control - there is no slop in the design.

CNC centre hub, anodised swashplate slider and finely polished main shaft giving silky swashplate control!

The frame is light weight aluminium and and well thought out - reducing your crash bill drastically. Spares are highly specific and low costs resulting again in a lower spend to repair the helicopter. Main gear is nylon - not plastic making it tougher and smoother.

How does it compare to other systems?:
Well it’s a lot cheaper, does a lot more, produces much smoother stabilisation and of course is a double edged sword because you can not only improve eCCPM but you can decide to use the stabilisation component or just switch off! Therefore once you are happy without the stabilisation components turn it off/remove it and just utilise all the other benefits to give yourself an exceptional smooth flight control.

Have we tried it?:
Of course we have set the unit using the software provided and it gives and incredible flight experience! Trex 450, 500 in 10mph + wind we could just leave the TX on the floor and leave at an altitude of 80+ meters with minimal drift – we were amazed.

Flymentor 3D experience from Ivor Hill Customer 07-11-09

Hi Sportsmoto , After reading the adverse reports on flymentor I decided not to
buy it, I then decided later to give it a try.
It will fit inside my Mini titan cobra Helicommand will not.
Using a Futaba 9c non 2.4 it was very easy to set up, I did not have to
Reverse any channels in the transmitter, I already new about the errors
in the manual so install and set up was done in less than an hour. Very
easy compared to helicommand.

The gains are set on a slider on the side
of the transmitter same as my Helicommands.
I found that the position light was stable even indoors, so I fitted
training gear and tried to fly it indoors. I spent a few minutes trimming
it and to my surprise it worked very well, not yet tried it in balance
mode.
Have you or any of your customers had any flying problems with it ?. I
think it has had a unfair bashing in the forums mostly by the same guy so
I intend to report my findings in the same forums and any input from you
would be helpful. If any of your customers need help with it ( futaba non 2.4 )I will
be happy to help.

Piotr has been a customer of Sportsmoto for quite a while and keeps coming back to buy from us. He recently sent us a picture of himself with his Protos Helicopter in the Mountains where he lflys Great Picture and Helicopter as we understand from reading about Protos. 09-07-09

Here are some words from Piotr

I'm 42, born in Venice and living very near Venice
work on computers and networks by more than 20 years

Always loved the RC world... cars, planes and specially the helicopters
but never had the money (30 years ago rc was very expensive and I was at my first job)
so I kept this dream in my head for all these years.

In May 2007 I decided to start with rc-helis to celebrate my 40 years :-)
my first one was the coax walkera 5#8 then moved to the bigger brother walkera 53#1
but I needed something more :-)

So I bought realflight 3.5 (now upgraded to 4.5) and flew each day after dinner for hours
(now I still fly at least one hour each day)

Then i got my first real helicopter, a 3DX500 from china ... but when I needed the first spares
i found your great website :-) www.sportsmoto.co.uk :-)

With this great model I've done my first hoverings and some slow fly and a couple of bad crash too, but is all part of the game ;-)

Then, was love at first sight ... MSH Italy presented the Protos ... I got one of the first production run and was really amazed to assemble it. So light and powerful, around 1.7Kg complete of battery and one brushless motor able to give around 1.5HP ... Incredible !!

I kept doing some hovering and some slow flights until about one month ago ...
The day was nice, warm and with a very clear sky ... I don't know why but I felt very relaxed and confortable and for the first time I engaged the idle1 and idle2 on Protos ... from then I never stopped :-D Now almost every sunday I go to my flight camp and burn 4-5 lipos doing fast flights and some 3D :-)
