OPTIMIZING THE TRANSMISSION OF LIGHT
Sundog Eyewear has conducted extensive research, resulting in lenses with refined light transmission qualities that deliver ultimate ultraviolet protection, unsurpassed clarity and superior contrast defi nition of color. The purposeful application of tinting has been mastered by Sundog to minimize color distortion and maximize contrast while allowing you choice. Unlike competitors who claim to have the best lens for a specifi c application e.g. golf, we let the customer choose what is best for their eyes and how they choose to view their world. In addition to our core line of direct centered premium lenses, we introduce two specialized lenses: Sundog Mela-Lens™which offers advanced glare reduction benefi ts beyond a polarized lens, and Chromo-Lens™ which is a leading edge photochromic product. We also continue to offer our extremely popular CRISTEC PREMIUM polarized sub injected lenses.
A HIGHER DEFINITION OF PERFORMANCE
Sundog Eyewear allows you to view your world in higher defi nition! We have refi ned the light transmittance properties of our lens tinting application process to the exacting standards of the American National Standards Institute Z80.3, 2001, the Australian/New Zealand Standard 1067, 2003 and the European Standard 1836, 2005 for Red, Yellow, Green and Blue colors in such a manner to result in positive degrees of color enhancement with scientific analysis of the lens qualities demonstrating higher definition performance for greater color visibility.

Developed in conjunction with BNL-Eurolens, A member of the Essilor Group, Mela-Lens Fitlers out “High Energy Visible Light” or “Blue Light” and “Ultra Violet Light” delivering the following benefits:
· “Mela” stands for Melanin – a naturally-produced pigment thatacts as a sunscreen protecting the skin from ultraviolet light.
· The Sundog Mela-Lens are infused with a synthetic melanin thatabsorbs light seamlessly over a broad spectral range.· The Mela-Lens filters “Higher Energy Visible Light” (HEVL)lessening the impact of 98% of dangerous “blue light.”
· By filtering (instead of blocking) blue light, Melanin LensTechnology lenses do not affect the colours and actually improveboth contrast and visual acuity.
· “Blue light” creates a veiled glare in the eye; Mela-Lens filtrationof this portion of the spectrum effectively reduces veiled glare.
· The result is Ultra Violet Light is absorbed by the Mela-Lens morethan blue, and blue light more than green, so contrast isimproved, sharpening vision of details.
· Since the light is not blocked, but filtered, colour balance is maintained.
